Settings

The Advanced tab in Agent Settings gives you granular control over how your AI Agent behaves — managing memory, conversation logic, timeouts, and error handling for smoother, smarter chat experiences.

When to Use

Use the Advanced tab when you need to:

  • Enable conversation memory across sessions or channels
  • Configure how and when sessions end
  • Customize fallback responses for technical or comprehension errors
  • Add proactive messages or starter questions
  • Optimize multi-device behavior (Desktop, Mobile, Both)

ADVANCED TAB

Memory Capture

Enable this setting to allow your AI to remember and utilize information from previous sessions, providing a more personalized and efficient user agent. This feature helps your AI recall preferences, details, and context, ensuring smoother interactions over time. Disable this setting if you prefer each session to start fresh, without any memory of past conversations.

Toggle Capture Memories ON, then select:

  • Chat
  • SMS
  • Messenger
    (Email coming soon)

Returning users will continue where they left off.

End Agent Actions

Define what happens after inactivity.

  • End session after: set duration (default: 15 mins)
  • End message: use system default or custom text with snippets (e.g., {user_name})

Example:

“Your chat session has ended. If you’d like to continue, just ask another question.”

Starter Questions

Ask visitors a predefined question when chat starts.

Off: Skip and begin normal flow

On: Start with a question (e.g., “What brings you here today?”)

Starter questions help qualify visitors faster.

Failure Response Message

Set a fallback message for errors or confusion.

Default:

“Sorry, I’m having technical problems. Would you mind rephrasing and trying again?”

Customize this to match your tone or include dynamic snippets.

Feedback

Same as the Basic tab — enable if you want to collect post-chat user ratings or feedback.
