Google Analytics

The Google Analytics integration lets you measure how well your AI Agent performs against your business goals — such as completed signups, booked demos, or captured leads.

Every time a goal is triggered in MagicBlocks, a goal_completed event is automatically sent to Google Analytics.
This means you can track conversion events, engagement behavior, and success trends right alongside your website analytics.

When to Use

Use this integration when you want to:

  • Quantify your AI Agent’s conversion rate and engagement performance.
  • View AI-triggered goals in your GA Events dashboard.
  • Compare AI-led conversions with website traffic or ad campaigns.
  • Identify which user journeys lead to successful completions.

How It Works

If you haven’t set up Google Analytics on MagicBlocks yet, follow this guide first:

Once connected, every time a MagicBlocks goal is triggered (e.g., “Demo Booked”, “Lead Captured”), your workspace automatically sends a goal_completed event to GA via the Measurement Protocol API.

In Google Analytics:

  • Go to Reports › Engagement › Events.
  • Search for goal_completed.

Filter by Goal Name or Conversion Value to see:

  • Total completions
  • Active users involved
  • Engagement rate
  • Source or channel attribution

💡 Tip: Combine this with campaign filters (e.g., utm_campaign) to identify which ads or traffic sources lead to the highest AI conversions.

How to Analyze Performance

1. Identify High-Converting Journeys

In GA, open Events → goal_completed → Conversions by Page Path.
This shows which pages or chat entry points deliver the most completions.

2. Compare Channels

Use Traffic Source / Medium reports to compare conversions from:

  • Website visitors
  • Paid ad traffic
  • Email campaigns
  • Social sources

3. Measure Impact Over Time

Use Explore › Funnel Exploration to visualize drop-off and completion trends over time.
If conversions decrease, revisit your MagicBlocks Journeys or Knowledge to fix weak links.

4. Attribute ROI

When you set conversion values in MagicBlocks, those values appear in GA as part of the goal_completed event. Use Revenue Reports to assess the estimated ROI of AI-driven conversions.

Best Practices

  • Name goals clearly: e.g., “Lead Captured”, “Trial Signup”, “Call Booked”.
  • Use UTM tracking: Combine GA source data with AI event data for complete attribution.
  • Review weekly: Check your GA event trend lines against campaign timelines.
  • Sync insights: Use Sessions + GA data together to match quantitative results with qualitative chat behavior.
  • Filter by Goal Name: In GA, create a custom event view for your most critical MagicBlocks goals.
